Hi, I’m Aubyn Melendrez.

First and foremost, I'm a wife and a mother.

I believe in equality, inclusion, and leading with love. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, and if there's one thing you'll learn about me, it's this: I only have one mode—honest. I'm also an artist. I love painting landscapes, but pet portraits have my whole heart. I love laughing with my family, and my heart is big enough for everyone. Sometimes that honesty comes with encouragement. Sometimes it comes with uncomfortable conversations. But it always comes from a place of wanting the absolute best for the women I serve.

Now...onto the weird part of my story.

For the better part of the last fifteen years, I spent my time problem solving in a space that unlocked a part of my brain that had been wildly underutilized. I was an electro-mechanical technician, spending my days repairing ATMs in a predominantly male industry with guys who had about twice as much life experience as I did. If you had told twenty-year-old me that I'd someday know the inside of an ATM better than my own purse, I would've laughed.

At the time, I had no idea what that career was really teaching me. It wasn't just teaching me how to fix machines—it was teaching me how to think. I had a gift. I could look past the loud, obnoxious problem screaming for attention and see the quiet little root cause hiding underneath it. Things that seemed so obvious to me completely stumped my coworkers, and before long my phone rang constantly. Congratulations...I had accidentally become everyone's unofficial support tech.

There was just one problem.

I wasn't fulfilled.

In fact, I wasn't even remotely challenged anymore. So I literally got my dirty hands to work and started asking myself one question:

"What problems need my solving?"

And then GLP-1 happened.

Well...more accurately, years of struggling with my weight happened first.

My entire life had been one giant cycle of gaining, losing, starting, stopping...doing great until I wasn't. Sound familiar?

This time, I decided I wasn't just going to lose weight. I was going to figure out why I kept finding it again.

So I did what I know how to do best. I researched. I experimented. I tested. I failed. I adjusted. Basically, I turned myself into one giant strategy experiment.

Then something weird happened.

About two years later, I realized I had completely forgotten about weight. Not because I had given up—but because it wasn't consuming me anymore. I wasn't counting calories. I wasn't stepping on the scale every morning hoping it would finally validate my existence. I wasn't obsessing over my next meal. I wasn't exercising like someone was paying me by the burpee.

I was just...living.

And honestly?

I felt incredibly beautiful.

Now here's the funny part. Most people would've celebrated and moved on.

Not me.

My brain immediately went, "Hold on...why did that work?"

Because I knew there had to be a root cause. Freedom doesn't just accidentally happen.

So I went back to work. I pulled apart every habit, every belief, every mindset shift, every strategy, every success, every failure, and every breakthrough until all of the puzzle pieces fit together.

That's how The Injection Exit Strategy was born.

Today, I help women who are terrified of coming off GLP-1 stop relying on hope and start relying on strategy. Because I don't believe your medication failed you, and I definitely don't believe your body failed you. I think there's a root cause that's been quietly running the show all along.

That's the problem I solve.

What I've created is too powerful to keep to myself because I know what it feels like to spend years believing you're the problem.

You're not.

The strategy probably was.

Every woman deserves to know what it feels like to stop obsessing over food, trust herself again, and build a future where weight no longer gets to make the rules.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. I can't wait to help you solve the problem beneath the problem.

Personalized Lab Review & Nutrition Insights

Your health is more than a number on the scale.

As part of the Hot Off the Shot experience, you have the option to complete laboratory testing through a licensed physician ordering service. These labs give us a clearer picture of what's happening inside your body so we can personalize your nutrition and lifestyle strategy with greater confidence.

Rather than guessing, we can use objective data to monitor your progress and identify opportunities to support your health.

Comprehensive Transition Health Assessment

Every Hot Off the Shot client begins with a comprehensive baseline health assessment designed specifically for women transitioning off GLP-1 medications.

Rather than relying on guesswork, we use clinician-ordered laboratory testing to evaluate key areas of health that may influence your recovery, nutrition, energy, muscle preservation, and long-term success after GLP-1 therapy. Depending on your health history and the clinical judgment of the licensed healthcare practitioner, your assessment may also include screening for nutritional deficiencies, metabolic health, thyroid function, environmental exposures, and other biomarkers that help personalize your coaching plan.

Laboratory tests are ordered and reviewed by a licensed healthcare practitioner through Rupa Health's platform, when appropriate. I do not diagnose medical conditions or order laboratory testing. My role is to incorporate these objective health insights into your personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and coaching strategy.

A Team Approach

Your laboratory results are reviewed from two different perspectives.

Your physician reviews your results from a medical standpoint to diagnose, treat, or investigate medical conditions when appropriate.

Hot Off the Shot reviews your results from a nutrition and lifestyle perspective to help personalize your coaching, nutrition plan, and healthy habits.

These roles complement one another, allowing you to receive comprehensive support while ensuring medical concerns remain under the care of your healthcare provider.

Why This Matters

Many women spend years wondering why they feel fatigued, struggle with energy, or aren't seeing the progress they expected. Laboratory data can provide valuable insight that helps us make more informed decisions instead of relying on guesswork.

Most importantly, we use your results to track progress, not perfection.

Seeing improvements in markers like blood sugar, cholesterol, vitamin status, or iron stores can be just as meaningful as watching the number on the scale change.

Our Commitment

At Hot Off the Shot, laboratory testing is used to support personalized nutrition coaching and lifestyle education.

We do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or replace your primary healthcare provider. Any abnormal or concerning findings should always be reviewed with your physician.

Our goal is simple:

To help you understand your body, make informed decisions, and build a healthier future with confidence.

Laboratory Testing

As part of the Hot Off the Shot program, clients may have the opportunity to complete comprehensive baseline laboratory testing to help personalize their nutrition and lifestyle plan. This is included in the full package purchase.

While I review and incorporate laboratory results into your coaching program, I do not diagnose medical conditions or order laboratory tests. All laboratory testing is ordered and reviewed by a licensed healthcare practitioner through Rupa Health's platform, when appropriate.

This collaborative approach ensures you receive evidence-based care within the appropriate scope of practice while allowing us to use objective health data to support your transition off GLP-1 medications.
